Biyografi

YEŞİM AYDIN SON, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Yeşim AYDIN SON, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nden 1999 yılında mezun olduktan sonra, 2006 yılında University of TN, Knoxville’ den Genom Bilimleri ve Teknolojileri alanlarında doktora çalışmalarını tamamlamıştır. Doktora sonrası çalışmalarını City of Hope, Beckman Araştırma Enstitüsünde, Moleküler Tıp Bölümünde devam etmiştir. 2010 yılından beri ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsü, Biyoenformatik Programında öğretim üyesidir. 2012 yılından bu yana Sağlık Bilişimi ABD Başkanlığını yürütmektedir. Dr. AYDIN SON farklı yapay öğrenme yaklaşımlarını optimize ederek genomik veri analizine dayalı nadir hastalıkların teşhisi ve karmaşık hastalıklarda risk modelleri oluşturma konularında araştırmalarına devam etmektedir. En son geliştirilen yapay öğrenme modeli ile Alzheimer Hastalığının erken ve ayırıcı tanısı için moleküler temelli bir tanı kiti prototipi önerilmiştir.
