Elif Sürer bilgisayar mühendisi olma yolculuğunu anlattığı konuşmasında bilgisayar grafiği ve bilgisayarla görme alanından ciddi oyunlara uzanan yolunu, bu süreçte ona yol açan onu dönüştüren mentorlarını ve birlikte ortaya koydukları projeleri anlatıyor. Bologna Üniversitesi Biyomühendislik bölümünden doktora, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Bilgisayar Mühendisliği bölümünden yüksek lisans ve lisans derecelerini almış olan Elif Sürer, ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsünde oyun geliştirme ve sanal/karma gerçeklik başta olmak üzere çeşitli alanlarda çalışmalar yapmaktadır.
