Biography
Kadri İlker Berktav is currently an assistant professor of mathematics at Middle East Technical University. KİB earned his PhD from METU in 2021 and has since subsequently become a postdoctoral researcher at METU-IAM, the University of Zurich, and Istanbul Technical University. From 2023 to 2025, he served as a visiting assistant professor at Bilkent University.
His research centers on higher structures in geometry and physics, including derived algebraic geometry and higher category theory. Currently, he is working on derived symplectic geometry and neighboring subjects.
