Özet:This thesis studies the architectural evolution of the Athena precinct and the Great Altar of Hellenistic Pergamon in the light of the principal premises of Classical Realism under the discipline of International Relations. This study provides a chronologically linear narrative to shed light on the political, militaristic, economic, artistic, cultural, and architectural events that all have reciprocal occurrences with each other in the clearest manner. While referring to the rulers prior to Eumenes II’s reign, the thesis provides an in-depth focus on Eumenes II’s era.
