Özet:In order to exist in the economic race in the rapidly changing and developing world, technology is not only required to be used but also produced. This is only possible through the production of qualified manpower in different disciplines. STEM education, occurs with abbreviation of words Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, enhances the capacity of students to develop innovation by developing critical, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, has been an interdisciplinary approach. At this point, it is a very important step for the development of our country with the qualified manpower it will provide. In order to integrate STEM education into the existing education system, it is necessary to be prepared for this. In this context, the purpose of this study was to determine the readiness level of high schools in Ankara for STEM education. For this purpose, interview questions were prepared according to NYCDOE STEM framework and interviews were conducted with teachers and administrators in 4 different schools. The readiness levels of the schools were evaluated by analyzing the obtained data. In addition, the themes that emerged as a result of the study will shed light on future studies.
