Özet:Topology optimization is one of the most powerful tool that designers use to reduce weight and cost in aerospace industry. However, traditional manufacturing techniques limit the oncoming advantages of topology optimization. New manufacturing techniques change the philosophy of topology optimization nearly dismissing the limits of manufacturing. Additive manufacturing not only adjoins complex shapes to design but also adjoins porous/lattice structures. In the first part of the thesis, a boarding step is optimized with respect to traditional methods with Ti-6Al-4V material and load patterns with respect to stress levels are investigated. In the second part, the boarding step is optimized with lattice structures without any overall volume reduction with the help of load patterns done in the first part. Optimized lattice design is compared with previous conventional aluminum and 3D woven composite designs.
