Özet:This study offers an analysis of the representation of the enemies for nationalist conservative discourse, which has an ongoing influence on the present day Turkish right-wing politics. It aims to illuminate how and why the communists, Jews, Donmehs and Free Masons are articulated as the enemies vis-a-vis the Turkish nation in the discourse of nationalist conservative intellectuals, including Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, Osman Yüksel Serdengeçti and Eşref Edib Fergan. To this aim, the periodicals of Büyük Doğu, Serdengeçti and Sebilürreşad, identified with nationalist conservative stance are examined. In this framework, this study argues that by positioning the communists, Jews, Donmehs and Free Masons against the felicity and prosperity of the Muslim Turkish nation, nationalist conservatism represents them as the main perpetrators of social antagonisms.
