Özet:This study aimed to develop and examine a novel structure for knowledge documentation, knowledge management procedures, and organizational changes to increase the efficiency of knowledge acquisition. This was done by both taking knowledge confidentiality issues into consideration and the combination of software, hardware, process-ware and people-ware dimensions within a defense sector software company. This study utilized the developmental research method to answer the research questions. Data was collected from 150 participants through interviews, focus group interviews, questionnaires, document analysis, try-out and observation. The collected data was then analyzed using constant comparative method to extract concepts from the qualitative data. The results revealed that; • The effects of project-based approaches to knowledge management should be addressed by the organization, • Generally, lessons-learned procedure does not work efficiently, • Knowledge should be managed under teams and departments.
