Abstract

Abstract These are (extended) lecture notes from a talk given at the Gürses-Fest conference: Celebrating the distinguished career of Prof. Metin Gürses , held at Bilkent University in Ankara, Türkiye, in 2025. These notes offer a mathematical introduction to categorical constructions and higher spaces in theoretical physics, along with several examples.
