Özet

Agglomeration of zinc oxide fines from the Cinkur Waelz furnace in Turkey is necessary before reuse in the Waelz furnace. The fines were briquetted using various binders. The effects of type and amount of binder, applied pressure, hydrated lime, fineness of material and aging of mixture on the crushing strength, abrasion index and stability of briquettes in water were investigated. A model was developed for this purpose.
