SYNTHESIS AND REACTIVITY IN INORGANIC METAL-ORGANIC AND NANO-METAL CHEMISTRY, cilt.45, sa.10, ss.1489-1494, 2015 (SCI-Expanded)
In this study, the bioreduction of Au (III) ions to Au-0 are proposed by using the biomass come from nettle (Urtica dioica L.) leaves as a pharmaceutical plant. This biomimetic, safe and cost effective procedure has led to the preparation of irregular gold nanosized particles. The synthesized gold nanoparticles were characterized with UV-Vis, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, FT-IR, and zeta potential measurement techniques. The obtained results indicated the formation of colloids with hydrodynamic diameters from 1 to 195 nm, different shapes, fcc crystalline structure, and negative surface charge of particles in gold nanosuspension.
