Burnout as a predictor of senior students' mindfulness

Abstract

The present study investigated to what extent mindfulness of senior students is predicted by their burnout levels. 449 senior students (349 females, 100 males) studying at the Faculty of Education participated in this study. Participants were chosen by purposive sampling method. The data was collected through a demographic data form, Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale, and Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics and basic linear regression analysis were utilized by using SPSS 22. As a result of the analysis, burnout scores of the senior students was found as a significant predictor of their mindfulness levels.
