© 2016 IEEE.Height of Burst (HOB) sensor is one of the critical parts in guided missiles. While seekers control the guiding scheme of the missile, proximity sensors set the trigger for increased effectiveness of the warhead. For the well-developed guided missiles of Roketsan, a novel proximity sensor is developed. The design of the sensor is for multi-purpose use. In this presentation, the application of the sensor is explained for operation as a HOB sensor in the range of 3m-50m with ± 1m accuracy. Measurement results are also presented. The same sensor is currently being developed for proximity sensor for missile defence.
