Teacher Qualifications in The Globalized World: Example of Turkey

Abstract

This study was conducted to review and compare goals of determination of teacher qualifications in a globalized world in the containment of some international organizations, and national organizations of USA, England, Australia and Turkey. In this regard, firstly, teacher qualifications and goals of determination were reviewed from scientific literature. Secondly, curriculum and teacher qualifications approaches of World Bank and OECD were presented. And then, in order to grasp national approaches to teacher qualifications, national organizations of USA, England, Australia and Turkey were reviewed. All teacher qualifications of organizations, mentioned in the study, were summarized without changing their contents. After presenting the analysis and results, implementation suggestions were represented, finally.
