Abstract

Dynamic modeling accuracy of the power system components highly depends on the parameters, which can be erroneous due to human errors, deployment test analysis, and equipment aging. While recently developed online calibration tools make use of the PMU measurements and symmetrical fault measurements, the identifiability of the machine parameters during different transients still needs to be performed. This study additionally focuses on the unsymmetrical faults which are more common in the grid. Two-axis synchronous machine model parameters are studied in the Sensitivity and Collinearity Analyses.
