Özet

The reaction kinetics parameters of shale oils were determined by using a reaction kinetics cell. During the combustion reaction experiments, two different peaks of temperature profiles were observed. The molar CO2/CO ratios increased gradually at low and medium temperatures, and stabilized at high temperatures, especially after the complete combustion. The calorific values of shale oils from Seyitömer, Himmetoǧlu, Hatildaǧ, and Beypazari were 485, 2842, 199, and 440 cal/gr, respectively. The calorific value of Himmetoǧlu oil shale was higher than the oil shales from other sites due to higher amount of organic content. The corresponding combustion temperatures of the aforementioned shale oils were be 575°, 480°, 590°, and 500°C, respectively. Vertical and one-dimensional combustion tube experiments with combustion front formed around 600°-800°C were performed to determine the magnitude of oil recovery from the oil shale samples of four different sites. The resultant oil recoveries from the oil shales of Seyitömer, Himmetoǧlu, Hatildaǧ, and Beypazari were 4.5, 32.2, 18.3, and 24 lt/ton, respectively.
