Abstract

Tsunami propagation in the open ocean was simulated using shoal water on spherical Earth equation system with account of Coriolis force; for the near-shore zone simulation in the framework of shoal water system in Cartesian coordinates was used with account of turbulent friction over bottom (Coriolis force is neglected). Numerical code is realized within Japanese package TUNAMI (tsunami simulation with the leap-frog scheme) adapted for PC. Propagation beam pattern and calculation of wave height distribution along the shore are obtained.
