Özet

The signal averaging approach applied to the clinical body surface potential measurements was studied and evaluated for localizing the spontaneous premature ventricular contractions (PVC) on the data of three patients. For each patient, more than 200 beats were extracted from the ECG signal and aligned with respect to the R-peak of the QRS complex. Then, the origin of the PVC was computed from the inversely estimated heart surface potentials and activation times for each individual beat and the averaged one. It was shown that the result from the averaged beat did not differ more than 2 mm from the mean or median of the results from individual beats. Signal averaging of clinical signals leads to reliable results and saves the needed computational time.
