Özet
The temperature in Central Asia is rising faster than the global average due to climate change. This increase in temperature affects the region’s economy, notably through economic losses from extreme events like disasters and droughts caused by global warming. Consequently, measures to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change are essential, including the adoption of renewable energy sources. Renewable energy has received limited attention in the region, particularly in academic research. Thus, this study aims to provide a foundation for academic inquiry by analyzing the role of renewable energy use in climate change mitigation and regional economic growth. The results indicate that renewable energy consumption plays a significant role in reducing carbon emissions in Central Asia.
