Özet
This study introduces a digital twin framework for assessing climate-positive interventions at the neighborhood scale, integrating Building-Integrated Photovoltaics and Nature-Based Solutions within the context of Local Climate Zones. By linking urban morphology and climate data with energy simulation and feedback-driven optimization, the approach enables targeted, scalable solutions for decarbonizing urban areas. Three representative case studies, Ioannina (Greece), Prague (Czech Republic), and Ankara (Turkey), were modeled using a detailed digital twin that simulates solar energy generation, building energy demand, and carbon offset potential. While physics-based methods were used for smaller areas, Ankara employed machine learning-driven Urban Building Energy Modeling for large-scale evaluation. A feedback-enabled framework allows the refinement of design interventions based on simulation results. Findings revealed significant variation in PV yield, energy savings, and self-sufficiency across LCZs, confirming the importance of local context. The study demonstrates how digital twins can serve as dynamic planning tools for urban decarbonization, offering a replicable and scalable approach to climate-sensitive urban design.
