Özet
We study random access for channels with long propagation delay. In such channels, waiting for feedback requires slotted ALOHA to use large slots, leading to reduced throughput, increased delay and Age of Information (AoI). Various schemes have previously been proposed to handle the propagation delay more effectively, such as the Interleaved Channel Policy (ICP) and the Transmit and Wait Policy (TWP). Extending ideas from framed slotted ALOHA to these schemes, we devise two new schemes, called Framed Interleaved Channel Policy (FICP) and Framed Transmit and Wait Policy (FTWP), to handle propagation delay. We compare ICP, TWP, FICP, and FTWP in terms of stability region, delay, and Normalized Average AoI (NAAoI). We find that all perform similar in terms of NAAoI; TWP and FTWP perform superior to others with respect to stability region and delay, FTWP requiring significantly less frequent feedback than TWP.
