Özet

Rapidly populating renewable energy sources and storage units at the distribution system, made it crucial to monitor the system in real-time. This necessity brings new challenges and business opportunities for the distribution system operator (DSO). DSO requires situational awareness on the system via several analyses, most of which rely on correct system topology. However, switch statuses of the distribution system may not be telemetered or transferred correctly to the DSO, despite having several switching actions daily. This paper proposes a state estimation based method for distribution systems with limited number of measurements to detect and identify topology error. The method is applicable with both conventional SCADA and/or PMU measurements. Weighted Least Absolute Values (WLAV) state estimator is employed because of its robustness against inaccurate measurements or bad data. The computational performance of the proposed method is comparable with that of the WLAV state estimator, and hence applicable in practical applications.
