Abstract

The use of a genetic algorithm-based resonance annihilation technique to extract the interior poles of an arbitrarily shaped dielectric object with the ultimate purpose of target identification is proposed. The technique is demonstrated for a dielectric sphere with a very good agreement between the exact and extracted pole values.
