The Teacher Trainer, vol.23, no.1, pp.20-22, 2009 (Peer-Reviewed Journal)
Successful mentoring of TESOL teachers is a challenging job because it involves
three parties (co-operating teachers, supervising
teachers and student-teachers) and entails the successful interaction of
each party with all the others. An additional, language-related challenge is
faced by those being trained in a foreign or second language. The challenge is
especially formidible in settings where the mentees have no direct contact with
the target language.
