Özet
The energy consumption of the building sector accounts for 30% of the global energy consumption and increases on average by 1% per year [International Energy Agency, 2023]. Over one-third of the energy demand in the building sector comes from the air-conditioning, heating, and ventilation (HVAC) systems. Knowing the fact that the average surface temperature of the earth is already 1.2% above the pre-industrial levels, reducing the cooling demand plays a vital role to limit global warming and achieve the zero-carbon-ready standards.
