Abstract

The design methods of wideband impedance transformers are discussed. The impedance of the source transferred by the line segment is calculated. It was stated that wideband impedance transformations require lines with characteristic impedances in the range between the source and the load impedances. It was found that the bandwidth decreases as the incoherent impedance mismatch levels increase in the structure.
