Abstract

As the world is getting increasingly globalized, every setting includes a great variety of participants

with diverse backgrounds and cultures. For the instructors to cater to these various needs and to raise

awareness for multiple groups of personas, inclusiveness might serve as a springboard to create a quality

learning environment. This interactive workshop aims to foster inclusiveness in and by teaching

literature in English undergraduate programs. We plan to engage the participants in experiential

activities by addressing the challenges about representation, accessibility, ableism, and cultural

appropriation in diverse classroom settings. This workshop will provide some gateways to select texts,

design discussion frameworks, and consolidate culture-literacy in literary analysis.
