Özet

© 2019, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. All rights reserved. This study presents a peridynamic (PD) model of a graphene layer with tension and bending moduli comparable with atomistic simulations as well as experimental findings. After determining the PD in-plane and interlayer bond constants, the PD model is verified against a molecular dynamic simulation of wrinkling in a graphene layer suspended over a trench. Also, the numerical results demonstrate the modeling of a graphene layer suspended on a short-trench width under tension and thermal loads. The PD predictions of wrinkle properties, i.e. wave length and amplitude compare well with the experimental findings. Thus, the PD theory can be successfully employed for determining very short wave lengths with small amplitudes in a graphene layer. It can be used to understand and control the electronic properties of nano devices made of wrinkled graphene.
