Abstract

TUBITAK-UZAY (previously TUBITAK-BILTEN) has launched a new satellite mission project known as RASAT after BILSAT-1's successful launch. In RASAT, the aim is to develop new subsystems those will replace the legacy systems incrementally which are off-performance or obsolete. OBDH subsystem on BILSAT-1 platform contains systems with obsolete parts, like on-board computers. Also, in future's earth imaging satellite missions, large amount of data will likely be generated on-board, increasing the performance requirements of the OBDH subsystem. A new generation on board computer, code named BILGE, together with its flight software and ground station software has been developed.
