Abstract

This study considers semi-discrete optimal control problem of Navier–Stokes equations which are regularized by the Leray-α model. After deriving optimality conditions, a priori error estimates of all fluid variables are investigated under regularity assumptions. Several numerical tests are given to affirm the theoretical findings and expose the effectiveness of the optimal control.
