Özet

A lean, premixed and prevaporized heptane-air turbulent spray flame is studied using a phase Doppler anemometer. Measurements are performed at constant air flow rate for four equivalence ratios ranging from ф = 0.72 to 0.97 and two residence times τr = 18 and 49 ms of the droplets inside the prevaporization tube of the burner. The effects of the equivalence ratio and the residence time on the height of the two-phase zone, the heptane liquid and vapor mass fractions at the burner exit section and also on the vaporization rates are discussed.
