Abstract

Product composition and temperature profiles, as measured by IR thermography, for an autothermal reactor with Ni/Al2O3 catalyst were studied. The water addition reduced catalyst temperature, increased H2 and CO2 and decreased CO concentration. As for the case of temperature profiles, model prediction was in good agreement with the experimental data. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the AIChE Annual Meeting (Salt Lake, UT 11/4-9/2007).
