Özet

We observe profound changes in every area of our lives due to the social, economic and technological advances in the world.  This reality is transforming the way we work, the way we live and the way we learn. As the educational and learning needs change at all levels in this transformation process, the educational expectations are increasing and diversifying, making the individuals concrete in the direction of gaining 21st century skills. Continuous education and lifelong learning also lead to different learning needs at different times throughout our lives. This necessitates the development of innovative learning environments that will remove time and space limitations in all areas of education. Learning environments need to be creative and innovative because the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for innovation-oriented production can only be achieved through education and learning. Emerging technologies are helping us to develop creative and innovative learning environments, especially by supporting collaborative learning. Successful integration of technology in education is an important step in this path. Developing new ways to discover the superior aspects of new technologies accelerates the work done in the field of teaching technologies. Today, new learning ways such as online learning, web-based learning, e-learning, mobile learning offer new opportunities for both distance learning and classroom learning. For this reason, the education system is changing in such a way that it goes beyond the limits of traditional education and promotes the emergence of creative capacities of individuals. 

It will not be possible to change without understanding the change itself. In this connection, this presentation will introduce and discuss the digital transformation of education with the help of international studies and reports. Experiences and applications will also be shared during the presentation. Furthermore, the presenters will also touch upon how the process of digital transformation will affect foreign language learning practices.
