Pipe irrigation networks are the most important systems regarding a country's agricultural production and water conservation efforts. Today, irrigation for agriculture is the sector that leads to highest water consumption. The amount of water used by the agricultural sector in our country is 73% of our total water potential. Sustainable water resources management is mandatory because of the increase in water demand in agricultural production due to the population increase in our country and generally in the world and the limited water resources that exist. Irrigation systems constructed in our country in recent years constitute a great majority of investments, modem piped irrigation networks reduce water loss and economise agricultural water use. This work focuses on achieving optimum conditions for the design of pipe irrigation networks in terms of cost and desired operating pressures. In order to solve the optimization problem, heuristic based dynamic programming and "Simplex Method" which is a linear programming method were used and the software of these optimizations were applied to State Hydraulic Works (DSI) pipe irrigation networks.
