Özet
A Methane/Oxygen/Nitrogen turbulent diffusion flame developing in the mixing layer of two rectangular jets is experimentally investigated. Mean and fluctuating velocity fields are determined by Laser Doppler Anemometry. Electronically compensated fine thermocouples of 20 mu m diameter are used in order to determine the instantaneous temperature field. Mean concentrations of major species are determined by vapor phase chromatography. The velocity and concentration fields of the non-ignited flow are also measured for comparison purposes. Existing literature on the turbulence behaviour in turbulent diffusion flames is also briefly reviewed.
