Multi-layer beams and plates are being used increasingly in extremely light weight flight and aerospace vehicle structures as structural components. Thus, in this study, bending mode free vibrations of two-layer, orthotropic 'beamlike narrow strips' are investigated. The beamlike layers are coupled or connected through mechanical springs. With this model, in a way, it is also possible to study interactions of composite two-layer beams joined through an adhesive layer. In the analytical formulation, 'Timoshenko Shear Beam Theory' is used and, then, the problem is reduced to 'Euler-Bernoulli Beam' case. The solution of the problem is obtained in 'closed form' and it is applied to practical problems of importance with different boundary conditions. Fundamental frequencies and mode shapes are presented. Further extension of the problem in terms of some numerical techniques into multi-layer beamlike strips are also considered.
