Attitude control algorithms for a geostationary satellite which employs a strap down momentum wheel gyro for pitch control and thrusters for roll control is developed. Pitch control is realised using a ladder network type Schmitt triggers with hysteresis and a feedback lag circuit. An effectiveness of the design is demonstrated. Roll control law uses thruster on/off control scheme. The effect of thruster pulse amplitude and pulse duration on fuel consumption is investigated, and a proper pair are given.
