Özet

The aim of this work is to show that turbulent cool flames (TCF) may be used to investigate low-Damkoehler-number (slow chemistry) turbulent flames and to obtain information about the influence of turbulence on chemical reactions. A premixed heptane-air cool flame is stabilized in a horizontal conico-cylindrical reactor that is placed in an oven. Extensive measurements of the mean and fluctuating thermal field of the TCF have been made.
