Özet

© 2021 IEEE.We present design, simulation, and measurement of passive microwave reflectors that are optimized for field coverage in high-frequency communication applications. The reflectors are designed in an optimization environment based on genetic algorithms and full-wave simulations. Optimally corrugated surfaces are fabricated via 3D printers and coated with conductive paint to obtain compact and lightweight prototypes that successfully demonstrate desired reflection characteristics. The results show both the success of the proposed design procedure and the feasibility of compact reflectors that can be suitable for new-generation communications.
