This course will
introduce the students the major concepts, approaches, actors and issues in
peace and conflict studies. The aim of the course is to
develop the necessary analytical and critical skills and tools in analyzing
conflicts, their root causes, and how to transform and manage them in a
peaceful way.
By the end of the
semester, students will develop the knowledge and
practical skills necessary to effectively analyze and evaluate the theories of
peace and conflict, along with the theoretical and practical approaches to
conflict transformation and management with a focus on the role of states, IOs
and non-state actors.
