  The goal of the course is to raise the information security awareness and cyber ethics sensitivity of preservice teachers.

  The course will cover not only the information security and cyber ethics concepts but also provide several case activities.

  By the end of the course students will

  ·     have higher awareness on legal policies regarding cyber security and ethics

  ·     be able to identify and describe the ethical issues related to use of computers and technology integration in schools

  ·     be able to talk about the responsibilities of parents, teachers as well as community for establishing new interactions involving any type of computer communications

  ·     be able to identify and describe responsible behavior on social media

  ·     be able to establish new classroom policies and procedures to ensure consistence with fair use guidelines on information security and child protection

  ·     be able to raise awareness and share knowledge on important issues regarding cyberbullying

  ·     be able to protect personal information as well as hardware assets

  ·     be able to backup & restore personal information assets

  be able to recognize and describe security threats and phishing attempts.
