The goal of this course is to develop background for molecular methods used in food microbiology and also for epidemiology used in foodborne outbreaks. With this course graduate students may integrate basic science and food science knowledge to predict the microbiological problems in food to ensure safe food production. Graduate student can utilize most recent molecular techniques used in food microbiology at the end of this course.
