The subject of the course is the sources of architectural knowledge through texts (discourse) from the 17th century to the present. The course is intended particularly for the first year students in the Ph.D. in Architecture Program. Despite the basic linear flow of history, the goal is to reach the origins of ideas their contemporary interpretations in order to provide literacy in architecture.
