Research in the CARBO ENMat Research Group is focused on the waste valorization and synthesis of carbonaceous materials for environmental applications.  We are particularly interested in how “modifications and advancements in conversion technologies affect the materials characteristics for sustainable, environmental-friendly and cost-effective soil & water treatment.” We believe in the importance of developing innovation, creativity, problem-solving skills and open-minded/free of biasness as successful traits in our members.
