Özet

This paper first describes a software (TPCAD) for the design and optimization of induction motors. Then, a macro developed to transfer the geometry of the lamination designed by TPCAD to field solution software is described. In this manner, the designed motor model is quickly established within the field solution software. Hence, the tedious field solution model preparation phase is omitted from the design procedure. The approach described takes advantage of analytical tools to optimize a design for a specified performance and then, uses field solution techniques to trim this design. This approach saves designer time and shortens the order to shop floor time.
