Çalışmada mekanın yıkımı, anıtların enkazı üzerinden okunmaktadır. Toplumsal hafızanın tecessüm ettiği nesneler olarak anıtlar, yıkımları üzerinden de özne kurulumunda yer almaktadır. Çalışmada, mekanı nasıl üretildiğinden ziyade nasıl yıkıldığı ve asıl önemlisi de bu yıkımdan nasıl bir gerçeklik üretildiği merakı hakimdir. Yıkım ise savaş gibi gündeliğin alt üst olma zamanı ile birlikte düşünülmektedir. Savaş, gündeliğin ritminde bir kırılma ya da bir senkop yaratır. Bu aynı zamanda mekanda da bir kırılmaya, enkazlaşmaya neden olur. Bu, iktidarın ya da otoritenin mekanda kristzalize olmuş değerleri silip kendilerini o mekana kazımak için kullandığı politik bir eylemdir.
In the study, the destruction of space is read through the ruin of monuments. As objects that embody social memory, monuments take part in the construction of the subject through their destruction. In the study, the curiosity about how the space is destroyed rather than how it is produced and, more importantly, what kind of reality is produced from this destruction is dominant. Destruction, on the other hand, is considered together with the time of war when the everyday is turned over. War creates a break or syncope in the rhythm of the everyday. This also causes a rupture and debris in space. This is a political act used by authorities to erase crystallized values in monuments and engrave themselves in that space.
