Recently updated Turkish Structural Steel Specification [Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, 2018] has been adopted from American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Specification for Structural Steel Buildings [AISC, 2016]. To facilitate the design of steel structures in Turkey and elsewhere, where European steel sections are used together with AISC Specification, design tables similar to those in AISC Steel Construction Manual [AISC, 2017] providing the capacities of members that use European steel sections are required. This book provides design tables to accompany Turkish Structural Steel Specification for eight European I-shaped steel sections of three different steel grades used in Turkey: HD, HEA, HEB, HEM, IPE, IPEA, IPEO and IPN sections of S235, S275 and S355 steel grades. Design tables are developed for members subject to tension, compression, flexure and combined forces, composite members, connecting elements as well as bolts and welds. Structural engineers are referred to Al Nahawi [2020] for the design equations related to the limit states and the sample calculations in developing these design tables. These tables would aid structural engineers in selecting the appropriate sections and verifying the design calculations.
