IPCC WG III focuses on climate change mitigation, assessing methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere (https://www.ipcc.ch/working-group/wg3/). As a lead author selected by the IPCC, Assoc. Prof. Şiir Kılkış has been one of the scientists holding responsibility for the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), particularly as Lead Author on "Urban Systems and Other Settlements" (Chapter 8) with numerous cross-chapter and cross-working group analyses. She has been Lead Author in the Technical Summary (TS), Drafting Author on the Summary for Policymakers (SPM), author on Cross-Chapter Boxes 1, 5, 9, 11 and 12 and Cross-Working Group Box 2, and Contributing Author in Chapters 1, 13 and 16.
