Main aim of the project is to achieve wider introduction of the more effective case-based teaching and learning techniques to UK and Turkish higher education/entrepreneurship training programmes. Instructors and learners often have difficulty in finding case studies matching their local context that are more relevant to their issues. International case repositories provide cases that are limited in this aspect, creating a challenging environment for students and making their participation more difficult. Our project entails the development of locally relevant cases disseminated in both English and Turkish for potential use in all Turkish and UK universities and entrepreneurship training programs, primarily addressing the problems of relevance, language, cultural differences, and educational difficulties. Close to 121,000 students are presently in undergraduate programs of business in Turkey, resulting in a significant impact to the local teaching environment in the mid to long term. With the shortage of emerging country case studies, any case study on entrepreneurship from emerging economies will have an audience of academics, students, business people, and consultants that can be measured in the thousands. Furthermore, all cases generated from the project will be submitted as a collection to The Case Centre for global distribution.
