Proje Özeti

Project is envisaged as 24-month activity aimed at reinforcement of positive social values and principles, by using the specific setting for their dissemination - sports field, the specific target group for promoting them - football trainers and specific methods involved - non-formal education in and through sports. 13 partners representing 4 sectors (sports, youth, research and education), from 7 European countries gathered to contribute in promoting the concept of education in/through sport, perceiving it as the most powerful channel in dissemination of diverse messages, and starting from the fact that role of trainers as educators and pedagogues needs to be revitalized, not only for the sake of sport but also for the entire society. Leaning on existing statistics and data to be obtained during the project (research among 252 respondents), using diverse expertise and experience available, exploring good-practice examples to be promoted and multiplied as such, our goal is to develop and test the educational module that would contribute to capacity building of 40 trainers involved, for a holistic approach to the training process, using it both for sports and educational purposes. Coaches will test the module among 1,200 attendees during usual training activities and a joint international camp with 120 children/youth more. Upon collecting findings from the field during the Consultative meeting with coaches, joint set of findings and recommendations for the final fine-tuning of module will follow. Everything will be presented at the Final conference to 50 different stakeholders from local to international, resulting in joint Follow-up plan. Consortium is striving to develop a new educational concept that would be applicable to coaches from all disciplines. On a long-term level, our goal is to regulate this area systematically, introducing a multidisciplinary subject at faculties for sport and physical education, bringing additional value to existing learning tools.
